About Us

Kabuye Sugar Works Ltd is a premier manufacturing facility dedicated to sustainable production and operational excellence. Following our recent operational expansion, we are looking for a highly disciplined, strategic, and vigilant Security Officer to lead our security division and protect our workforce, infrastructure, and supply chain assets.

Position Overview

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily security operations of the entire factory campus, managing the contracted or internal guard force, and enforcing strict workplace policies. This role requires an authoritative leader capable of implementing loss-prevention strategies and ensuring total compliance with corporate codes of conduct and national regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and deploy security personnel across the campus. Conduct daily briefings and guard parades.

· Access Control & Surveillance: Monitor gate operations, cargo movement, weighbridges, and CCTV systems to prevent unauthorized entry or material pilferage.

· Loss Prevention & Vigilance: Conduct routine and surprise inspections across production zones, warehouses, and transit points to mitigate theft or internal collusion.

· Incident Management: Lead rapid responses to security breaches, safety hazards, or emergencies. Conduct thorough investigations, secure evidence, and draft detailed incident reports.

· Policy Enforcement: Strictly enforce company regulations, including safety protocols and newly implemented site-compliance rules (such as routine alcohol and substance screenings for transport staff).

· Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement, emergency services, and community security organs.

Qualifications & Experience

· Experience: Minimum of 10 years of active, hands-on experience in security management, asset protection, or corporate vigilance.

· Background: A proven track record in the Military/Armed Forces, Police, or a specialized Corporate Vigilance/Intelligence unit is mandatory. Ex-servicemen must hold a clean record of discharge.

· Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced certifications in Security Management or Risk Assessment will be a distinct advantage.

· Skills:

o Exceptional leadership abilities and a high degree of personal integrity.

o Sharp risk-detection and investigative skills.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Kinyarwanda; French is a plus).

o Basic computer literacy for logging reports and managing digital security systems.
